Job Description Job Description The Stockroom Maintenance role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient material flow to production while maintaining high standards for inventory accuracy, organization, quality, and safety. This position supports production build schedules, inventory management, and continuous improvement efforts within the stockroom and kit room. Responsibilities Ensure all build-date orders and rush requests are pulled, completed, and delivered on time while maintaining 99.5%+ On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) performance. Replenish KANBAN racks daily to maintain required inventory levels on production lines. Prepare and perform periodic, cycle, and perpetual inventory counts and reports. Monitor transfer logs multiple times per day; pull, label, stage, and deliver requested materials. Research, correct, and re-pull lost or damaged orders. Deliver finished goods carts to designated production and warehouse locations. Manage out-of-stock reports and communicate material needs to buyers and leadership. Inspect materials for quality and accuracy; identify non-conforming materials and escalate issues as needed. Participate in team development, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities. Read and interpret labels and documentation including material numbers, quantities, units of measure (UOM), delivery points, build dates, and ship dates. Release, process, and complete inventory transactions and material orders for daily production batches. Maintain inventory accuracy above 95% as defined by standard metrics. Act as a secondary verification checkpoint for incoming materials to ensure accuracy and proper quantities. Identify and assemble 45+ standard kit configurations to meet customer and production demand. Act as a role model for safety and comply with all safety policies and regulations. Stock materials in shelving, bins, or floor locations and complete accurate system transactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly stockroom and kit room. Operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required. Communicate effectively with production, warehouse, leadership, customer care, and purchasing teams. Maintain working knowledge of parts and products across all production lines. Work independently using strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Maintain familiarity with plant layout, production lines, and inventory locations. Determine optimal material storage methods to support efficiency and accessibility.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Forklift experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems required. Strong work history and reliable attendance required. On-the-job training provided. Language & Communication Skills Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to read, write, and accurately transact materials, maintain records, and communicate operational information. Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to convert metric units . Reasoning Ability Demonstrated critical-thinking skills with the ability to assess situations, identify issues, and implement timely solutions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.
