St. John Catholic Academy is seeking a dependable and hardworking Custodian / Facilities Support Staff member to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and families. This position plays an important role in the daily operations of the school by ensuring classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces are well maintained and presentable. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and care throughout the campus.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas Empty trash and replace liners throughout the campus Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors Maintain cleanliness of outdoor walkways and surrounding areas Assist with setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and furniture for school events and activities Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies Report maintenance or safety concerns to school administration Support overall campus appearance and safety standards

Qualifications:

Previous custodial or facilities experience preferred, but not required Ability to lift, move, and arrange light furniture and equipment Strong attention to detail and reliability Ability to work independently and efficiently Positive attitude and willingness to support the school community Must be able to pass required background screening and diocesan compliance requirements Click here for the Background Screening Clearinghouse Education and Awareness website: https://info.flclearinghouse.com
