Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082At Vicar's Landing Oakbridge, our Housekeeping team helps create the clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment our residents call home. As a Housekeeper in Independent Living, your work goes beyond cleaning—you help residents feel proud of their space and cared for every day. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys staying active, and values making a difference through the details. What You'll Do Clean and maintain resident apartments and common areas to ensure a safe, sanitary, and inviting environment Perform daily housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal Follow proper procedures for mixing and using cleaning chemicals safely and effectively Ensure housekeeping carts, equipment, and supplies are prepared and ready at the start of each shift Maintain and clean all equipment, returning it to designated storage areas at the end of the day Identify and report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety hazards promptly Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and "wet floor" signage Provide respectful, friendly service when interacting with residents—always maintaining their dignity and privacy Follow departmental standards, schedules, and quality expectations in all work performed What Makes You a Great Fit You take pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming You're dependable, punctual, and consistent in your work You're respectful and enjoy interacting with residents in a friendly, professional way You stay aware of your surroundings and prioritize safety You're a team player who can also work independently with confidence Skills You Need Must Have Skills High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) Ability to follow instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Nice to Have Skills Previous housekeeping, hospital, or hotel experience Experience in senior living or residential environments Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures How You'll Grow Here In your first 12-24 months, you'll have opportunities to: Strengthen your skills across all housekeeping functions and equipment Build relationships with residents and team members Cross-train in other departments if interested Grow within Vicar's Landing through internal development opportunities
