Position Overview At Holiday Inn, we believe that a clean and welcoming guest room is one of the most important parts of the guest experience. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in creating memorable stays by ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation. Essential Responsibilities Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards. Make beds with fresh linens and replace used towels and amenities. Thoroughly clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, tubs, showers, mirrors, and floors. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard flooring, and dust all furniture and surfaces. Empty trash and replace liners in guest rooms and work areas. Restock guest room supplies, including toiletries, coffee, cups, towels, and linens. Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and missing or damaged items, reporting findings promptly. Ensure rooms are guest-ready by meeting quality and inspection standards. Maintain assigned housekeeping carts, storage areas, and linen closets in a clean and organized manner. Follow all chemical handling, safety, and sanitation procedures. Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests when encountered. Work closely with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. Assist with deep cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by management. Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel operations. Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management. Willingness to learn and follow hotel procedures and brand standards. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Physical Requirements Project a professional manner to guests and team members at all times. Move, lift, carry, pull, and push up to 50 pounds safely. Walk and stand for extended periods of up to 8 hours . Frequently kneel, stoop, bend, stretch, reach overhead, and crawl while performing assigned duties. Ability to work both indoors and in outdoor areas when necessary. Required to have the visual acuity necessary to determine the accuracy, neatness, cleanliness, and thoroughness of assigned work. Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism and quality standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing positively as a team player. Work Environment This position requires continuous movement throughout the hotel and may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, noise, dust, and occasional outdoor weather conditions. Housekeepers are expected to maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and using proper lifting techniques.
