Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces by executing routine janitorial tasks efficiently. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment effectively to ensure floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation meet hotel standards. Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while following safety protocols to prevent injury. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including sanitation protocols and emergency procedures for guest safety. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or commercial setting is preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and industrial cleaning techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of safety data sheets (SDS), chemical handling, and sanitation standards ensures safe and effective cleaning practices. Experience with vacuuming, floor cleaning (including floor care), and the use of cleaning equipment is highly valued. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently is essential for success in this role. Strong customer service skills combined with hospitality experience will help foster positive guest interactions.
