Duties Perform thorough cleaning of tenants rooms, public restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle laundry tasks including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and uniforms efficiently Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues Use chemical agents safely for cleaning and sanitation purposes, adhering to proper handling procedures to prevent hazards Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly in compliance with healthcare infection prevention protocols Operate cleaning machinery with proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and safe lifting practices Restock supplies in restrooms, patient areas, and supply closets while ensuring environmental services are up to standard Document cleaning activities accurately and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial settings is highly preferred Knowledge of OSHA standards related to chemical handling, safety protocol adherence, and environmental services best practices Experience with healthcare infection prevention and control procedures is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle cleaning equipment effectively Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate professionally with staff and visitors Familiarity with floor care techniques, sanitation procedures, and chemical agent handling is desirable Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while working independently or as part of a team Join us in creating clean, safe environments that make a difference every day!
