Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital is hiring a full-time evening Housekeeper responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Duties include routine cleaning of patient rooms, operating rooms, recovery rooms, public areas, and office spaces. Apply today to join our team!

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Cleans and services assigned areas of the facility promptly, using established procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, customers, and staff. Maintains and operates cleaning equipment, such as carts, vacuums, and buffers, safely, promptly reporting any issues for repair to ensure ongoing facility cleanliness. Mixes and uses chemicals and products as per manufacturer's directions and department procedures, ensuring proper dilution and applications; orders necessary supplies to avoid shortages and maintain productivity. Sorts and places clean linen into shelves and carts, ensuring patient care areas are stocked with an adequate supply. Stocks linen supply to patient care areas and responds quickly to requests for additional linens. Performs daily cleaning of linen storage and distribution areas, including disinfecting work surfaces, dust mopping, mopping floors, and high dusting vents and ledges on a weekly basis.

Methodist Jennie Edmundson - 933 E. Pierce Street, Council Bluffs, IA.

Schedule:

3pm to 11:30pm with every other weekend & holiday

Salary:

Pay starts at $15.00 an hour and increases based on work history/experience.

Job Requirements:

6 months previous cleaning experience preferred, preferably within a healthcare environment. High School Diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) preferred.
