Job Overview Join our dedicated environmental services team as a Housekeeping Laundry Aide, where your energy and attention to detail will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring all laundry and cleaning tasks meet the highest standards of sanitation and safety. Your proactive approach will contribute to the comfort and well-being of our residents, patients, or guests, creating a positive experience every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your custodial skills within a supportive team environment. Duties Operate laundry machines and equipment efficiently to wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, uniforms, and other textiles. Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, restrooms, and hallways using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques. Follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed. Assist with floor care tasks such as mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning to uphold cleanliness standards. Use environmental services best practices to prevent cross-contamination and promote infection control within healthcare or hospitality settings. Keep detailed records of laundry loads, cleaning schedules, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in healthcare, hospitality, or commercial settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use is essential. Experience with floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, or carpet extraction is advantageous. Familiarity with hospital or environmental services procedures helps ensure effective sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols guarantees quality work in fast-paced environments. Previous experience working with laundry equipment or in environments requiring strict sanitation standards is a plus.
