The Knox County YMCA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Facility Enhancement Staff Member to help keep our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for our members and guests.

$17.00 per hour

Schedule:

Friday:

7:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m.

Saturday:

4:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. Approximately 14 hours per week This position is responsible for completing scheduled cleaning and facility enhancement duties throughout the YMCA. The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work independently, takes pride in their work, and can follow a detailed cleaning checklist.

Primary Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sinks, toilets, urinals, and changing areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust mop floors throughout the facility Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment Vacuum fitness areas, offices, stairways, lobby areas, and around exercise equipment Clean mirrors, windows, water fountains, countertops, and other surfaces Empty trash throughout the facility Refill soap, toilet paper, and paper towel dispensers Clean and sanitize the sauna, steam room, and shower areas Maintain cleanliness of gyms, fitness areas, lobby, Youth Center, Indoor Playground, and other assigned spaces Complete scheduled deep-cleaning tasks as assigned Follow YMCA cleaning procedures and safety guidelines Complete assigned work thoroughly and within the scheduled shift Report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor This position requires frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling while performing cleaning duties. Candidates must be comfortable working independently during evening and late-night hours.
