In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, floor care, and overall cleanliness throughout the hotel. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will ensure guest satisfaction and uphold our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards across all hotel areas. Manage custodial tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies, manual handling of linens and cleaning materials, and ensuring proper disposal of waste. Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by dusting, polishing, and sanitizing to meet sanitation standards. Operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other janitorial tools efficiently. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures and emergency protocols to ensure safety for guests and staff at all times. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, sanitation standards, and safety procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team. Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
