Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Houseman to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of our hotel property by performing a variety of custodial and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to maintain high standards of sanitation and appearance. Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines, ensuring proper storage, usage, and disposal. Conduct manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and moving furniture or supplies with proper techniques to prevent injury. Assist with hotel housekeeping management duties, including replenishing supplies, organizing storage areas, and supporting cleaning staff as needed. Maintain cleanliness across public areas by vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring all spaces meet sanitation standards. Support emergency procedures by understanding hotel protocols and assisting in maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff. Use cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols to ensure efficient operations without compromising safety or quality. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and chemical handling procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety measures. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to assist guests and team members professionally. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical products used in cleaning processes. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or extractors is preferred. Demonstrated reliability with a flexible attitude toward shift schedules and workload demands.
