Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, and replenishing amenities to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring safe storage and disposal. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners efficiently to uphold high standards of floor care and sanitation. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Support hotel housekeeping management by restocking supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures. Follow all safety guidelines related to chemical handling and industrial cleaning practices to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff alike. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong background in industrial cleaning techniques. Skilled in floor cleaning methods including floor care, vacuuming, and the use of various cleaning equipment. Knowledgeable about chemical agent handling, sanitation standards, and safety data sheets (SDS) for safe chemical use. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or furniture. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management procedures and custodial best practices. Strong understanding of hotel emergency procedures to respond effectively during unforeseen incidents.
