Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents Handle heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, and cleaning carts safely and efficiently Maintain floor care by vacuuming carpets, mopping hard surfaces, and applying appropriate chemical treatments for sanitation and appearance Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and operated according to safety data sheets (SDS) and manufacturer instructions Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times Assist with custodial tasks such as waste removal, replenishing amenities, and restocking supplies to support overall hotel housekeeping management Adhere to sanitation standards by properly handling chemical agents and maintaining a clean working environment that meets health regulations Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments with strong custodial skills Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, mopping, and floor care maintenance Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) requirements Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other janitorial tools Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your attention to detail makes a meaningful difference.
