Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to meet high standards of cleanliness. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment like vacuums and floor scrubbers. Maintain sanitation by properly handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and safety protocols. Perform custodial duties in public areas, restrooms, and corridors to ensure a pristine environment for guests. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures, including reporting maintenance issues and adhering to hotel emergency procedures for safety. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or supplies safely while complying with manual handling guidelines. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial services within a hospitality setting. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and performing floor care tasks such as vacuuming and mopping. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Previous experience with hotel housekeeping management or hospitality operations is preferred but not required.
