They ensure that hotel standards for cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and guest satisfaction are consistently met. Duties Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned hotel areas. Make beds, change bed linens, and replace towels and other room supplies. Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors and surfaces. Empty trash and properly dispose of waste. Replenish toiletries, amenities, and other guest supplies. Inspect rooms to ensure they meet hotel cleanliness and presentation standards. Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or missing equipment to the appropriate department. Handle guest belongings and hotel property with care and follow lost-and-found procedures. Clean and maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies. Follow hotel health, safety, and sanitation procedures. Respond politely and professionally to guest requests. Assist with cleaning hallways, elevators, lobbies, and other public areas when required. Work efficiently to complete assigned rooms within scheduled timeframes. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the hotel. Work cooperatively with supervisors and other hotel departments. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with strong janitorial experience. Expertise in floor cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures, including the safe use of cleaning agents and understanding of SDS guidelines. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy items when necessary. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
