Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment Handle chemical agents safely, following safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures for chemical handling and sanitation Perform janitorial tasks such as cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all surfaces are spotless and hygienic Conduct heavy lifting when moving furniture or supplies, adhering to manual handling safety protocols Maintain cleanliness of public areas by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring floors are free of debris through proper floor cleaning techniques Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or assistance with professionalism and courtesy Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety at all times during your shift Requirements Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, with strong janitorial or custodial experience preferred Knowledge of floor cleaning, chemical agent handling, sanitation practices, and cleaning equipment operation Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Familiarity with hotel housekeeping practices and hospitality standards Understanding of safety protocols including the use of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical handling Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication transforms guest spaces into welcoming retreats!
