Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle various cleaning agents safely, following all safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols to ensure a safe workspace. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards across all hotel areas. Manage custodial tasks such as dusting, trash removal, replenishing amenities, and ensuring sanitation compliance throughout the property. Operate cleaning equipment efficiently while adhering to hotel housekeeping management procedures. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen or supplies while following manual handling safety guidelines. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to cleanliness or room maintenance, providing excellent customer service at all times. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and hotel housekeeping management practices. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly and safely while maintaining compliance with safety data sheets (SDS). Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, mops, and other janitorial tools. Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest safety at all times.
