POSITION SUMMARY

The goal of the housekeeping position is to help create a clean and orderly environment in our facilities. This position will require a variety of housekeeping duties including vacuuming, mopping, surface cleaning, dusting, and laundering linen. Attention to detail and some customer assistance and services are required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

General sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors Vacuums and cleans carpets, perform further treatments such as shampoo or stain- removal Removing trash from bins and containersDusting and polishing of furniture and room accessories Cleaning and scrubbing the sinks, basins, bathtubs, showers, and toilets in all facility bathroomsEnsuring linens such as towels are laundered and stockedStocking/maintaining bathrooms to ensure they are stocked with all necessary suppliesKeeping windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters cleaned Maintaining all public spaces so it is neat and tidyReporting repairs and replacements needed when encountered on jobPreparing rooms as needed for special events (Chairs, tables, clean area, etc.)Performs other duties as required consistent with housekeeping responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent (Preferred) 0 2 years of Previous experience as housekeeper (preferably in a distribution environment)Required SkillsAble to assist customers/guests when neededAbility to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performanceStrong attention to detail when cleaningOrganized and able to develop and follow a scheduleGood communications skillsWorking Conditions & Physical RequirementsPhysically able to push equipment for long periods of time, such as a vacuum cleaner, floor scrubber, and mop/broom equipmentAbility to lift up to 30 poundsPhysically able to reach, stretch, bend and walk for extended periods of time
