Responsibilities Perform floor cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to ensure spotless surfaces. Handle cleaning tasks across various areas, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and service areas, adhering to sanitation standards. Safely manage chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols, ensuring proper handling and storage. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations. Maintain cleanliness of public spaces by vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, and sanitizing high-touch areas regularly. Support hotel housekeeping staff by restocking supplies and ensuring all cleaning equipment is maintained in excellent condition. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently, including safety protocols during incidents or hazardous situations. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience within a hospitality or hotel environment is preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is advantageous. Experience with chemical handling and understanding safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently. Strong customer service skills to assist guests courteously when needed. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for all guests and staff.
