Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Houseman, where your energy and attention to detail will elevate guest experiences and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance. In this vital role, you will assist in maintaining pristine guest areas, support housekeeping operations, and ensure the hotel environment is welcoming, safe, and spotless. Your proactive approach will help create memorable stays for our guests while fostering a positive and efficient workplace atmosphere. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest area, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment Maintain floor care through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe for guests and staff Assist housekeeping staff with moving furniture, delivering supplies, and setting up rooms for new arrivals or events Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and ensuring restrooms are hygienic and well-maintained Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, including deep cleaning of common areas or specialized spaces Uphold custodial standards by ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations at all times Collaborate with housekeeping management to report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly Shampoo carpets through the corridor and rooms when needed. Stock area's when needed in housekeeping storage area. Qualifications Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or custodial work is highly preferred Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, floor care techniques, and sanitation standards within hospitality environments Experience with industrial or specialized cleaning equipment is a plus Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Excellent attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness and safety standards Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks comfortably Familiarity with hospitality industry practices and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating welcoming environments that leave lasting impressions.
