We're looking for an upbeat and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and help make our assisted living community shine! You'll play a key role in keeping our residents' living spaces clean, safe, and cozy — because everyone deserves to live in a space that feels like home. Duties Clean, dust, and sanitize all surfaces in resident rooms, including furniture, countertops, and windows. Change linens, make beds, and ensure all bedding is fresh and comfortable. Replace towels, empty trash cans, and ensure rooms are stocked with essential supplies (e.g., toiletries, tissues, etc.). Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, lounges, dining areas, and other common spaces. Wipe down and disinfect high-touch areas, such as handrails, light switches, door handles, and elevator buttons. Ensure cleanliness of community spaces, including activity rooms, visitor areas, and therapy rooms. Thoroughly clean and sanitize all resident and staff bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Replenish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other bathroom supplies as needed. Ensure proper cleanliness of public restrooms throughout the facility. Empty and dispose of trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste according to facility protocols. Ensure that waste containers in resident rooms and common areas are regularly emptied and sanitized. Regularly inspect and organize cleaning supplies and ensure they are stocked and readily available. Clean and maintain cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, mop buckets, and carts. Notify the supervisor when supplies are low or equipment needs repairs. Adhere to infection control guidelines, including proper disposal of cleaning materials and the use of appropriate disinfectants. Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents, such as using "wet floor" signs when necessary and properly handling chemicals. Respond to special cleaning requests from residents or staff, such as moving furniture or organizing personal items. Assist with setting up or cleaning after special events or activities. Notify maintenance staff or management of any safety or facility-related issues, such as broken furniture, leaks, or malfunctioning equipment. Report any signs of pests or cleanliness concerns beyond typical housekeeping. Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor with residents, visitors, and team members. Contribute to a positive and warm atmosphere that helps residents feel comfortable and valued. Experience 1-2 years of housekeeping or janitorial experience that requires attention to safety and cleanliness, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or hospitality environment. Knowledge of infection control protocols, particularly in environments with vulnerable populations (e.g., elderly or immunocompromised individuals). Experience using disinfectants and sanitizers in compliance with health and safety standards. Comfort and experience with using common cleaning tools and equipment, including vacuums, mops, floor scrubbers, and other housekeeping supplies. Ability to follow proper procedures for using and maintaining cleaning tools. Strong interpersonal skills, with a background in working with residents or clients in a service-oriented role. Experience providing excellent customer service, especially in a setting where attention to detail and compassion are key. Ability to interact with elderly residents in a respectful and courteous manner. Proven ability to notice small details and take initiative to correct issues without supervision. Experience in maintaining cleanliness to the highest standards, particularly in a health-sensitive environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively, ensuring that all areas of the facility are maintained according to schedule.
