About the Role Hicks Block Loft Apartments, Downtown Topeka Kansas is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Housekeeper & Groundskeeping Assistant to help keep our historic residential community clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents. This role is responsible for unit turnovers, routine common area cleaning, weekly office care, and light outdoor landscaping and plant care.
Key Responsibilities Turnover Cleanings:
Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of vacant units during turnovers to prepare them for new residents.
Common Areas:
Maintain clean and orderly lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and shared laundry facilities on a regular schedule.
Office Cleaning:
Perform a complete cleaning of the property management office once per week.
Grounds & Plant Care:
Water indoor and outdoor plants, assist with basic gardening, and keep exterior walkways clear of debris.
General Housekeeping:
Report maintenance issues, assist with inventory restocking, and fulfill general property cleaning tasks as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or groundskeeping experience preferred. Basic knowledge of plant care and light gardening. Self-motivated with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work independently. Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs. Standard background check required as part of the application process.
