The Houseman will perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness of common areas, and parking lot in an orderly manner. Duties may include assisting guest needs with a request, vacuuming and mopping floors; cleaning windows, cleaning parking lots. Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts if needed. Empty wastebaskets, transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Replenish supplies in storage rooms. Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage found articles to manager. Remove debris from driveways, and swimming pool areas. Sort, count, and mark clean linens and store them in linen closets if needed. All other duties that may be assigned by manager from time to time.
