The Laundry Attendant is responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, pressing, folding, and distributing hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. The position helps maintain clean, fresh, and properly presented linens for guest rooms and hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities/Qualifications:

This position is primarily in the hotel's laundry and housekeeping areas. The job may involve heat, humidity, noise from commercial laundry equipment, and frequent handling of wet or heavy linens.

JOB TASKS

Collect and sort dirty linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items. Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, irons, and folding equipment. Measure and use laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals according to hotel procedures. Inspect laundry for stains, damage, and cleanliness. Fold, organize, and store clean linens properly. Deliver clean linens and towels to housekeeping and other hotel departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area. Report damaged equipment, stained linens, or supply shortages to the supervisor. Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures. Assist housekeeping staff with linen distribution and other duties as needed. Maintain a professional and cooperative attitude with coworkers and guests. Previous hotel, housekeeping, or laundry experience is helpful but not always required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry laundry bags and linen loads. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Frequent standing and walking. Repeated bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying. Ability to handle laundry loads and equipment safely. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule May include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays , depending on hotel operations.
