A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma Responsibilities Perform comprehensive floor cleaning, vacuuming, and floor care to maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas. Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and chemical agents, ensuring proper use of safety data sheets (SDS) and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct janitorial and industrial cleaning duties, including sanitation of bathrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common spaces. Manage manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, or equipment safely and efficiently. Support hotel housekeeping management by organizing cleaning schedules, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure guest and staff safety during any incident or hazardous situation. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for additional cleaning or amenities with professionalism and courtesy. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality environment. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to health and safety regulations. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS). Previous experience with industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
