Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and surface sanitation. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to company standards and health regulations. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and steamers safely and efficiently. Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Maintain floors through proper cleaning techniques such as floor care, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Use appropriate cleaning detergents and supplies to ensure surfaces are hygienic and well-maintained. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or equipment with proper safety protocols. Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs or preferences. Keep accurate records of completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Ensure outdoor work areas are kept clean and free of debris when applicable. Skills Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments such as janitorial or custodial roles. Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures. Ability to perform detailed dusting, floor cleaning, carpet care, and outdoor maintenance when required. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout the workday. Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and address their needs courteously. Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and prolonged standing or walking.
