Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Cook and Assistant Housekeeper to join our team! As a Cook, you will be responsible for cooking breakfast for our guests which range in number from 2 to 12 guests. As housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining extreme cleanliness and orderliness in guestrooms, bathrooms and all other areas of our B&B. This is a vital role in ensuring a pleasant, safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dining room and entry for breakfast service
• Prepare, cook and set up scheduled breakfast (Eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, crepes, pancakes, etc.) Assist Innkeeper with the following duties:
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Make beds and change linens
• Maintain laundry for kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products
• Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Cook and Housekeeper or similar role is preferred
• Proficient in traditional cooking skills
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Familiarity with food handling and safety guidelines
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks

Requirements:

• Willingness to begin work from 7:00 AM
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
