CHILTON CLUB HOUSEKEEPER
The Chilton Club is a private social Club in the Back Bay of Boston. Founded in 1910 by ten prominent women from Boston and named after Mary Chilton who is believed to be the first woman to step off the Mayflower. With over 800 members, a beautiful Clubhouse, thoughtfully appointed overnight sleeping rooms, private event spaces, and a beautiful dining room, the Chilton Club is rich in history and tradition.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Is a gracious, hospitality minded individual with a willingness to go above and beyond for our members. The ideal candidate is happy to be a part of a team and to assist with tasks outside of their daily responsibilities as needed. They have extraordinary interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships with members and fellow employees. A Chilton Club housekeeping employee is responsible for taking ownership of their area as assigned per schedule and for providing exceptional service for all Club members.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal Housekeeper is gracious, attentive, and willing to work both independently and with a team. They will have an eye for detail to ensure each guest room is welcoming, clean, and meets the Chilton Club standards. Responsibilities and Authorities Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service Report cases of property damage in rooms or public spaces to supervisor Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift Maintain a positive relationship with employees and members Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills or need for amenities Collect and remove trash and debris Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linen Clean upholstered furniture Perform detailed deep cleans when required Assist with regular clubhouse cleaning as able Clean and maintain restrooms in public areas daily Assist with room service deliveries if needed Additional tasks as assigned by manager
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in a hot, humid, and occasionally noisy environment.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least 1 year in a hotel or private club with overnight rooms preferred
OTHER BENEFITS
Salary is $20 per hour Paid Time Off The Chilton Club is open 11 months per year, and generally closed the month of August for annual maintenance.

$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
