Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing surfaces to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure all areas meet health standards. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens efficiently. Clean floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, or carpet cleaning equipment to keep surfaces immaculate. Manage outdoor work responsibilities including patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance when required. Use cleaning detergents and equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and provide excellent customer service. Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventory control of cleaning supplies and scheduling routine maintenance. Lift heavy objects safely during cleaning tasks or when handling large items or furniture. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supplies used, and any issues encountered during shifts. Qualifications Proven experience in residential cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other janitorial tools. Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper usage techniques to ensure effective sanitation. Previous outdoor work experience is a plus for exterior surface maintenance tasks. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about their needs. Experience managing housekeeping routines or supervising housekeeping staff is desirable. Ability to perform repetitive tasks diligently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout each shift.
