Job Description
Overview The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for members and staff throughout the club. This position involves daily cleaning tasks, laundry services, collaborating with other departments to maintain exceptional member experience and support overall sanitation standards. Key Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning for the entire facility, including locker rooms, studios, pools, common areas, and administrative spaces. Ensure products are stocked, stored properly, and used efficiently. Collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute towels and linens Keep laundry room and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order Ensure all cleaning procedures adhere to safety protocols and meet company standards. Respond promptly and professionally to members or staff concerns related to cleanliness and sanitation. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the housekeeping manager Floor maintenance responsibilities include cleaning, buffing, and restoring floors in bathrooms, common areas, and offices. Operate floor maintenance equipment safely and efficiently. Have knowledge of equipment, such as auto scrubbers. Maintain records of floor maintenance activities. Follow infection control policies and universal precautions to ensure a sanitary environment. Maintain a positive attitude with members and staff, providing excellent customer service. Physical Requirements Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach throughout the workday. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Operate commercial cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, vacuums, carpet extractors, and other powered housekeeping equipment. Safely handle and work with cleaning chemicals and disinfectants while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Work in environments that may be wet, humid, or contain cleaning odors and chemicals. Ability to work independently and respond quickly to operational needs throughout the facility. Professional and Technical Knowledge Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, preferably in a large facility, hospitality, or health club setting. Strong attention to detail Ability to work well and communicate with others. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is preferred Reporting Structure Direct Line to Housekeeping Manager
