• Full-time Greenfield, MA Stoneleigh-Burnham School, an independent girls' boarding and day school for grades 7-12, seeks a full-time year-round Housekeeper, effective immediately.

Located in the Pioneer Valley, a short drive from the Five College Consortium (UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst College), Stoneleigh-Burnham School is the only girls' school in New England to offer the IB Diploma Programme and attracts students from the local area and around the world. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, laundry rooms, and offices.
• Sweeps and mops floors and vacuums rugs and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and removes cobwebs.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Spot washes walls and woodwork as needed.
• Empties wastebaskets and recycles.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal and /or recycling area.
• Carpet spills are spot cleaned ASAP to prevent permanent stains.
• Dishes and glasses are picked up as needed.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• All other duties as assigned: Including backup of people absent due to illness or vacation.
• Special functions including Reunion, Summer Camp, visitors, etc

Qualities and Qualifications:

Must be able to work well both in a team environment and independently. Must have the ability to recognize problems as they arise and bring them to the attention of the Chief Financial Officer. Must be able to follow safety guidelines and exercise good judgment in all aspects of responsibility.
