In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and replenishing amenities to ensure comfort and hygiene. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, disinfecting surfaces, and managing waste disposal. Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues or safety hazards and report them promptly to management. Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Support hotel management with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning initiatives using industrial cleaning techniques when necessary. Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices. Knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, chemical handling, and use of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and buffers. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining safety standards in accordance with SDS guidelines. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and standing for extended periods. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems is a plus but not required. Commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards aligned with hospitality industry regulations.
