Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, windows, bathrooms, kitchens, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment. Handle laundry services such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items. Use cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively. Maintain proper sanitation standards by applying infection control procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) during all cleaning tasks. Conduct janitorial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and ensuring all surfaces are sanitized to meet health standards. Execute specialized cleaning tasks such as window cleaning, floor care (stripping, waxing), and pressure washing for exterior surfaces. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture or equipment when necessary while following safety protocols. Ensure all cleaning chemicals are handled responsibly according to safety guidelines and store them securely. Support custodial operations by maintaining cleaning schedules, inspecting work areas regularly, and reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial or residential cleaning practices. Familiarity with various cleaning tools and equipment including pressure washers, floor buffers, vacuums, and chemical dispensers. Experience in handling cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to health and safety regulations. Knowledge of infection control procedures and sanitation standards required for maintaining hygienic environments. Prior experience performing window cleaning, floor care (such as waxing or stripping), and laundry services is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks efficiently. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards clients or residents.
