Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a spotless environment. Handle various cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, and replenishing amenities with precision and care. Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers. Use proper handling techniques for heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture or supplies to prevent injury. Follow safety protocols by understanding and adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain high standards of sanitation by applying proper cleaning techniques and using appropriate chemical agents while ensuring compliance with hotel emergency procedures. Assist with public area upkeep such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces to uphold the hotel's cleanliness standards. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping needs. Document completed tasks accurately in logs or reports as required by hotel housekeeping management. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and floor care equipment operation. Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively while following safety data sheets (SDS). Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards ensures readiness for any situation. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, manual handling, and repetitive tasks. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members. Previous hotel housekeeping experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidates committed to excellence in hospitality.
