Leads environmental services associates in performing a variety of environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. One (1) year of housekeeping experience.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors housekeeping activities in assigned area(s) to ensure proper cleaning, servicing and stocking of supplies, the completion of work schedules and supervisory instructions; reporting problems as necessary. 2. Performs housekeeping duties including, but not limited to, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, vacuuming and trash removal. 3. Ensures all supplies, materials and equipment are available in assigned work area for proper performance of duties; report equipment malfunctions to supervisor. 4. Reports need for repair to equipment, furniture, building and fixtures. 5. Assists in training employees in proper cleaning techniques and use of supplies, materials and equipment. For facilities with specialty accreditation requirements: 1. Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards. Training may be completed through CBLs, trainings, In-services, and competency validation.

Must have physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers, etc. 2. Must meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard. 3. Capable of wearing appropriate PPE for an extended period of time

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital. 2. Possesses the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests. 3. Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment 4. Must be able to read and follow written work assignments.
