A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.
Under direct supervision, maintains building interiors, ensuring cleanliness, orderliness and attractive conditions are maintained in assigned areas according to set tasks and frequencies. May be required to move furniture and equipment. Salisbury University is accepting applications for a Housekeeper Assistant , (Part-time Contingent I), in an effort to maintain a pool of applicants for current and future openings.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read, write, and perform arithmetic calculations; to operate assigned tools and housekeeping equipment; to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions; to understand and follow directions; to lift up to 30 lbs. and move furniture, equipment and supplies; to transport refuse; and to wear and work in personal protective equipment.

These are part-time (19 hour) non-exempt contingent positions with no benefits. Salary is $15.00 per hour. Work schedules will vary based upon the needs of the University and may include daytime, evening and weekend hours.
