Job Description
Overview We are looking for a housekeeper/in-home cleaner for our home in Alma. We are currently looking to fill the position 3 days/week at least 4 hours/day with the possibility of more hours when needed. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. This position will provide you with a 1099 at the end of the year for your tax purposes. Duties Cleaning tasks including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and trash removal. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the home. Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, mops, and specialized tools for floor and surface care. Handle laundry duties including washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items with care. Heavy lifting of furniture or appliances for deep cleaning as needed. Meal prepping and cooking while maintaining food safety and allergy considerations. Qualifications Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning, janitorial or custodial work is highly desirable. Knowledge of cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper application techniques for various surfaces. Familiarity with floor cleaning methods including vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and carpet cleaning. Strong time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently within scheduled timeframes.
