Role:
The Room Attendant at Cedar plays a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay by maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of guest rooms and public areas. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness, as the overall guest experience is heavily influenced by the state of their accommodations. Room Attendants are responsible for preparing rooms for new guests and ensuring that all amenities are replenished and in good condition. Additionally, they will address any guest requests or concerns promptly and professionally, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Ultimately, the Room Attendant's efforts directly impact guest satisfaction and the reputation of Cedar as a premier hospitality destination.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to established standards. Change bed linens, towels, and replenish toiletries and other amenities as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department. Respond to guest requests and inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
Skills:
Attention to detail is essential for a Room Attendant, as it ensures that every corner of the room is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. Time management skills are also critical, allowing the attendant to efficiently complete tasks within a set timeframe while ensuring quality. Strong communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with guests and team members, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
