Job Overview Urgent Care 2x weekly Monday&Thursday Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Cleaning Specialist, where your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within a fast-paced healthcare setting. Your proactive attitude and commitment to safety will help create a comfortable space that promotes health and well-being for all who enter. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the operational excellence of urgent care facilities through diligent custodial work. Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, examination areas, waiting rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle chemical agents safely, following all protocols for storage, usage, and disposal to ensure a hazard-free environment. Operate floor buffers and other floor care machinery to maintain clean, polished surfaces that meet health standards. Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy cleaning supplies or equipment safely in accordance with safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and fixtures, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized according to healthcare regulations. Follow established procedures for industrial cleaning tasks, including waste disposal and disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly. Support facilities maintenance activities as needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues that require professional attention. Requirements Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services; healthcare or industrial cleaning experience is a plus. Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to healthcare environments and familiarity with chemical agents used in sanitation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Experience operating floor buffers and performing floor care tasks such as buffing and stripping floors. Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices and proper use of custodial equipment. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning schedules and protocols precisely. Prior porter or facilities maintenance experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific healthcare cleaning standards.
