Duties Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of bathrooms and kitchens. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure hygienic environments. Manage laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and carpet cleaners with manual handling safety in mind. Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and specialized floor care techniques. Handle outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning when required. Communicate effectively with clients regarding their specific needs or concerns while providing friendly customer service. Manage time efficiently to complete all assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining high-quality standards. Ensure all cleaning supplies and janitorial equipment are well-maintained, stocked, and used safely according to protocols. Experience Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping roles with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures. Familiarity with cleaning surfaces, floors, carpets, and sanitation techniques using various detergents and cleaning agents. Experience with laundry operations including handling delicate fabrics and heavy linens. Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation such as vacuums, floor polishers, steam cleaners, and carpet extractors. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or moving furniture when necessary. Prior outdoor work experience is a plus for tasks involving exterior spaces or patios. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service in residential settings. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple locations or client requests.
