Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet hotel standards. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning equipment operation to maintain cleanliness across all areas. Maintain public spaces by cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other shared areas with attention to sanitation and safety procedures. Follow hotel housekeeping management protocols and safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines when handling chemicals and cleaning agents. Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies while adhering to manual handling safety standards. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning services with excellent customer service skills. Support hotel emergency procedures when necessary, ensuring safety and sanitation are prioritized at all times. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and industrial cleaning techniques. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while maintaining sanitation standards; knowledge of SDS is preferred. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shifts. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members. Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is a plus.
