Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to maintain cleanliness standards. Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently. Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and cleaning equipment to ensure a hygienic environment. Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and applying floor polish or sealants as needed. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, appliances, or supplies safely and effectively. Communicate professionally with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning preferences or special requests. Use janitorial and custodial equipment properly to maximize efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct outdoor work when necessary, including patio or porch cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance. Organize housekeeping supplies and manage inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are readily available. Follow established cleaning schedules and time management practices to complete tasks promptly without compromising quality. Experience Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures including sanitation standards for kitchens, bathrooms, floors, and surfaces. Hands-on experience with various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, and pressure washers. Knowledge of different cleaning detergents and their appropriate applications for various surfaces. Experience in laundry operations including handling delicate fabrics and stain removal techniques. Background in janitorial or custodial roles within hotels or large facilities is advantageous. Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and outdoor work comfortably.
