Oakland County Home Cleaning is hiring a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our residential cleaning team. We treat professional house cleaning like a skilled career, not a dead-end job. You'll receive structured paid training, clear performance standards, regular opportunities for advancement, and a defined pay ladder up to $27/hour for highly skilled Home Care Specialists. No professional cleaning experience is required. We care more about reliability, attention to detail, coachability, and taking pride in doing excellent work.

Each level represents a higher standard of performance and trust. Training — $16/hour Typically 3-6 weeks. Learn our cleaning systems, equipment, products, safety standards, and quality expectations while working alongside experienced team members. Home Care Specialist 1 — $20/hour You've successfully completed training and can perform the fundamentals of the job to OCHC standards. You're still developing your speed, consistency, and experience, and some continued coaching is expected at this level. Home Care Specialist 2 — $22/hour + healthcare eligibility You're a fully dependable Home Care Specialist. You consistently produce quality work, complete your responsibilities within expected timeframes, follow our systems without frequent reminders, and can be trusted to handle your normal responsibilities independently. Home Care Specialist 3 — $24/hour You've moved beyond simply being competent at the job. You're highly reliable, consistently meet our standards for both quality and efficiency, demonstrate strong judgment, communicate well, and proactively notice and handle what needs to be done. You require very little oversight and can be trusted to perform at a high level day after day. Home Care Specialist 4 — $27/hour This is our highest Home Care Specialist level and is reserved for exceptional employees. You've demonstrated mastery of our cleaning standards and can be trusted in virtually any home or situation — including unfamiliar homes and challenging first-time cleans. You consistently demonstrate excellent quality, efficiency, judgment, professionalism, and reliability with minimal oversight. At this level, we trust you to represent Oakland County Home Cleaning at the same standard we expect from our most experienced team members. Team Lead — up to $30/hour Team Lead is a separate leadership position and is not an automatic step after Level 4. Team Leads take additional responsibility for the team, daily operations, client communication, job information, equipment, quality control, and ensuring the team's work meets OCHC standards. Team Leads must have reliable personal transportation available for work and maintain a valid driver's license and required auto insurance. Team Leads may be required to use their personal vehicle for business travel between client homes and other work locations. Eligible business mileage is reimbursed according to company policy.

• What the Job Is Actually Like This is an active, physical job.

You'll work with a team of two cleaning recurring residential clients throughout Oakland County. A typical day may include approximately three homes. You'll spend much of the day standing, walking, bending, reaching, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, and mopping floors. We provide professional equipment, cleaning products, systems, training, and clear standards for what excellent work looks like. If you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, seeing the results of your work, and taking pride in doing something exceptionally well, you may really enjoy this position.

We provide structured training and teach our cleaning system from the ground up.

• with bonus pay) Employees begin part-time during training and may have the opportunity to advance into a full-time schedule as they progress. Full-time team members typically work approximately 35-42 hours per week.
