A Maid or Housekeeping Staff provides cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in private residences, office buildings, colleges, other institutions.

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are a busy professional couple looking for a reliable, organized, and trustworthy Part-Time Housekeeper to help us maintain our home on a weekly basis. Our household currently consists of two adults and one French Bulldog. We plan to start a family within the next couple of years, so we would love to find someone who is interested in a long-term position and potentially growing with our household as our needs evolve. We have recently updated the scope of this position to include more routine household cleaning as part of the weekly schedule. We are looking for one dependable person who can take ownership of the overall weekly upkeep of our home, including cleaning, laundry, linens, organization, and other recurring household tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping a home clean and organized and is comfortable independently managing their time throughout the day. For example, while loads of laundry are running, we would expect cleaning and other household tasks to be completed.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly Household Cleaning:
Vacuuming and mopping floors Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, showers/tubs, sinks, mirrors, and countertops Cleaning kitchen surfaces, sink, stovetop, and exterior of appliances Dusting furniture, surfaces, baseboards, and other areas as needed Wiping down surfaces throughout the home Emptying trash and replacing liners General tidying and maintaining common areas Periodic deeper-cleaning tasks as needed to keep the home well maintained
Laundry & Linens:
Washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry Properly sorting and caring for clothing, including delicate garments Keeping closets and drawers neat when putting clothing away Changing bed sheets and linens Washing and replacing towels and other household linens
Household Upkeep & Organization:
Keeping household and laundry supplies organized Letting us know when cleaning or household supplies are running low Light organization of closets, cabinets, drawers, and other household areas as needed Occasional small errands, such as dry-cleaning pickup/drop-off, returns, or picking up household items Taking initiative with other reasonable household tasks as time allows
SCHEDULE & HOURS
This position will typically be one weekday per week during daytime hours. We anticipate approximately 5-8 hours per week depending on what needs to be completed that week. We would ideally like to establish a consistent day of the week so everyone can plan around a regular schedule. We do appreciate some flexibility, as there may occasionally be a week when a different day works better or additional time is needed.
EXPERIENCE & REFERENCES
We are specifically looking for someone who has previous experience working in a private household in a similar capacity. This could include experience as a housekeeper, household assistant, household manager, nanny/household assistant, or another position involving the cleaning, care, and organization of someone's home. Because this person will be working independently in our home and handling our personal belongings, trust, discretion, and reliability are extremely important to us. Candidates should be able to provide references from previous families or households they have worked for, including at least one reference we can contact by phone. We are particularly interested in finding someone who understands how to take ownership of a household rather than needing a detailed checklist every week. As you become familiar with our home and routine, we would like you to be able to recognize what needs attention, prioritize tasks, and manage your time independently.

COMPENSATION
$20 per hour Payment will be made biweekly.
