Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping and Laundry Associate to join our healthcare facility team on a part-time evening schedule, totaling 28 hours per pay period. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that supports infection prevention and promotes patient and staff well-being. You will play a key role in ensuring that all areas meet strict sanitation standards while adhering to safety protocols and environmental services best practices. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of patient rooms, common areas, offices, and clinical spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. Handle laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and garments in accordance with infection control procedures. Follow OSHA guidelines and safety protocols when handling chemical agents and cleaning equipment to prevent accidents and ensure staff safety. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, floors, restrooms, and high-touch areas regularly throughout your shift. Utilize proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large laundry loads to prevent injury. Ensure compliance with healthcare infection prevention and control policies during all cleaning activities. Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisory staff to support a safe environment for patients and staff. Skills Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. Physical ability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and manual tasks necessary for custodial duties.
