Job Description

Position:
Hampton Inn Room Attendant Hours:
Days, and weekend times as needed
Position Summary:
Cleans and maintains guest rooms, including sleeping area and bathroom area. Collects laundry and takes trash to the dumpster. Makes beds and general cleanliness to provide tidy and sanitary amenities to guests. Cheerfully make guests feel welcome at our hotel.
Reports To:
Executive Housekeeper and Team Lead Tasks and Competencies:
Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom, and shampoo machine Cleans rooms, hallways, and restrooms Washes walls and ceilings, moves and arranges furniture, turns mattresses Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors Dust and polishes metalwork Collects soiled linen for laundering Receives linen supplies Stores linen supplies in floor linen closets Maintains housekeeping carts Removes trash and takes it to the dumpster
Prerequisites:
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
Previous hotel-related experience desired.
Physical:
Requires, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, hearing, visual activity, and may on occasion have to lift up to 40 pounds.
