The Southwest Montana Veterans Home, is looking for full and part time housekeepers. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure the highest quality and cleanliness of resident care available, support staff and establish a positive reputation in the community. Cleaning responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Sweep, mop, or vacuum carpets, and assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties. Clean nightstands, tables, counter tops, room heating/cooling units, etc.. Dust televisions, beds, window sills, furniture, etc. Clean windows, window coverings, cubicle curtains, etc. Clean walls, tile surfaces, ceilings, baseboards, etc. Empty garbage throughout facility. Clean toilets, ensuring all enamel (inside and out) is thoroughly wiped. Clean sinks, mirrors, floor, walls, etc. Refill dispensers (soap, paper towel, toilet paper, etc.) Clean appliances and equipment, as needed, telephones, copy machines, etc. Dust and polish furniture, lamps, knickknacks, art work, etc. Clean mirrors, doors, windows, etc. Sweep porch and clean patio furniture. Wash tables and chairs. Clean offices Monday through Friday (when applicable). Report all hazardous conditions and equipment. Report all accidents immediately. Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of all areas. Must perform regular inspections of resident rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
