Located on the banks of the Missouri River in Central Montana...a charming, "real Montana" town! Enjoy a Summer in the Birthplace of Montana! We are seeking an Assistant Housekeeper to join our team asap. This person will support the Head Housekeeper in keeping the whole property clean...must have an attention to detail and physical agility. You will need to help move heavy furniture at times for deep cleaning. This position will include supervising staff at times, managing supplies, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests or residents. You will be full-time through the Fall/holidays, with hours dropping to 25-28/week in the low season (January-April). Although our occupancy does fall significantly in the Winter, you'll keep busy with deep-cleaning the property. However, there are opportunities to help in the restaurant or front desk, as well, to make up hours! Sorry, we are not equipped for international applicants at this time. Housing is available; we have a private room/bathroom for you, available in a shared house, just down the street from our property. In the Winter, however, you will very likely have the entire place to yourself, as we move to minimal staffing! We are the oldest operating hotel in Montana at 143 years old! We have 26 rooms & a 50 seat fine-dining restaurant that expands to a patio in the Summer. Guests from all over the World visit us, exploring Lewis & Clark and the National White Cliff Monument. We have 3 outfitters here that take guests on overnight river trips. The owners are 4 years in, and native Montanans with a passion for hospitality! We are located in Central Montana along the banks of the Missouri River; "Big Sky Country" was named for this area...with huge vistas surrounded by several mountain ranges nearby. Great Falls is 40 miles away. We're right between Glacier and Yellowstone (3-4 hours), making it easy to get out and explore on your days off! A car isn't mandatory as the town is very walkable and has a good grocery store, pharmacy, coffee shops, etc...but, a car will definitely help you get out to explore the area. In the Winter, Fort Benton becomes a very quiet, sleepy town. But it's still charming and the locals are friendly!
