Housekeeping Employment Status:
Part Time to Full Time I.
Objective:
To provide compassionate innovative services and amenities for seniors enabling them to enhance and maintain their quality of life. II.
Summary:
Maintain and preserve a clean and safe environment in the apartment/apartment complex keeping the facility new, fresh looking and attractive at all times. III.
Supervision Received:
Works under general supervision of the Plant Ops Director and Lead Housekeeper IV.
Essential Job Functions:
Housekeeping Department Support the Mission and Ministry of Sapphire Lutheran Homes. Responsible for assuring that the weekly cleaning of resident apartments and the overall cleanliness of the building(s) is maintained to Sapphire Lutheran Homes' standards Provide Housekeeping to apartments as assigned Provide Housekeeping of Common Areas as assigned Responsible for stocking and maintaining Bruco Housekeeping Supplies Responsible for personal daily schedule, ensuring that all duties are accomplished each day before she leaves. Will work directly with residents and housekeeping staff to resolve issues and maintain quality assurance Provide housekeeping services for other areas as assigned. V.
Essential Job Functions:
General Provides support to all staff of Sapphire, in a manner consistent with our mission. Works closely with all staff to ensure the following standards are being met: o Excellence in customer service o Personal Accountability o Consistent and professional appearance Let the mission be your guide Make eye contact and smile Greet and welcome every person Seek out personal contact Provide immediate service (listen then act) Be gracious to each and every person Obeys safety rules Identifies reports and corrects obvious safety hazards Keep work area clean and safe Follow policy on annual immunizations Attends all mandatory in-services Other duties as assigned Limits personal cell phone use to off the clock usage only. Performs tasks in such a way as to protect the rights of the residents. Confers and cooperates with other departments and co-workers. Maintains confidentiality of resident and employee information. Understands and supports the philosophies, policies and standards of SLH. VI.
Knowledge, Education, Skills/Abilities, Work Experience:
Minimum Requirement:
Knowledge and skills acquired through completion of high school or GED. Prior experience in senior living communities desired.
Knowledge:
Knowledge acquired through experience in housekeeping.
Skills/Abilities:
Need to possess excellent verbal, writing and observation skills. Be able to communicate and interact effectively in a professional manner with all departments. Must be able to respond to a variety of situations with patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition. Must use independent judgment. Must be a team player. Must be of good moral character. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Be able to work cooperatively with other departments and fellow employees. Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition in establishing a good rapport with residents. Must have the ability to manage staff and situations appropriately. VII.
Complexity/ Difficulty:
This position requires the ability to function independently in performing assigned duties. The incumbent needs to be able to respond to management and general staff in a timely and professional manner. Incumbent needs to perform job duties by following established procedures and report any problems or concerns to direct supervisor. VIII.
Working Hours and Conditions:
Works between 32 and 40 hours per week as assigned Works in a well-lighted, well-ventilated building. This position requires you to Stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs.
