Job Description
Position Overview This position provides a safe, clean, and sanitized environment for visitors and staff in County buildings. Grade 15
Location:
Cullowhee Parks and Recreation Center Work Schedule :
Monday- Friday, 2 pm
- 10 pm or 3 pm
- 11 pm Duties and Responsibilities Sanitizes and cleans assigned areas.
Education and Experience Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Licenses or Certifications :
Possession of a valid, State of North Carolina driver's license to operate a motor vehicle. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of County and departmental policies and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances. Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components. Skill in operating, maneuvering and/or controlling the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions. Skill in prioritizing and organizing work. Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to work with limited supervision. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures regarding equipment, supplies, and chemicals. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with management, employees, members of the general public and other groups involved in the activities of the County as they relate to the department.
